Job Summary

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. This role will be involved in a broad range of general ledger accounting activities, including, but not limited to, Cap - Software, Prepaids, Cash, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Leases, Debt, Investments, Allocations, Intercompany transactions, and Payroll accounting. The position requires strong analytical skills, a keen sense of accuracy, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to independently research and resolve discrepancies. The ideal candidate is flexible and able to learn quickly with minimal guidance, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys partnering cross-functionally with teams such as FP&A, Payroll, PeopleOps, and other business stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
 

SaaS industry experience is a plus, particularly in high-growth environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules across a variety of general ledger accounts, including Cap- Software, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Leases, Debt, Investments, Payroll, and other balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Payroll, PeopleOps, Legal, and other business stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by analyzing financial results, investigating variances and discrepancies, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform flux and variance analyses across key accounts, leveraging data analytics and AI-enabled tools to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and internal control enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the accounting function.
  • Support external audits, special projects, system implementations, and other accounting initiatives as needed.
 

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role, ideally in a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA a plus.
  • You have a strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • You’re highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large datasets; experience with AI-enabled tools is a plus
  • Adaptable self-starter who can quickly get up to speed on new processes, systems, or account areas with minimal hand-holding — comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-changing environment.
  • You have hands-on experience with ERP systems; NetSuite preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with a track record of identifying discrepancies and implementing process improvements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining proper audit-ready support for all entries.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight month-end deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to partner with cross-functional teams.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
  • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency & impact.
